Student Information
Sayville Middle School
Boston Trip 2025
What to bring
Please make sure your child eats breakfast or brings a small breakfast for the bus ride. We will be leaving Sayville Middle School at 6:00 a.m. sharp. We also encourage you to bring a bagged lunch for Thursday afternoon. There will be a food court at both the USS Constitution and the Science Museum, so there will be several opportunities for students to get food on Thursday afternoon. I have attached the itinerary to this document which explains in detail where the students will go on both Thursday and Friday.
We also suggest you bring the following:
-
Spending money ($50.00 to $60.00 would be plenty)
-
Comfortable shoes, we will be doing a lot of walking
-
Rain gear or umbrella, it looks like there may be some rain on Friday
-
Dress clothes for the dance are casual, and not too fancy
-
Students may bring snacks on the bus. Whatever bag they put under the bus when we leave, they will not get to it until we arrive at the hotel around 4:30 or 5:00 pm on Thursday afternoon. We recommend the students bring a string bag or light backpack for them to carry their money, phone, snacks, etc…
-
Students may bring a DVD for the bus ride, but it must be rated PG or G.
Please do not bring the following:
-
No food or soft drinks for the hotel. There will be plenty of food at the dance and the attractions.
-
No practical joke or “gag” items on the trip.
General Behavior Rules:
We expect our students to behave on the bus, in the hotel, and at the sites and museums. Teachers and parents will supervise students. Those parents and teachers have the authority to reprimand students if they misbehave. Once on the trip Dr. Castoro and Mr. Decker have the right to restrict any student who is uncooperative or does not follow the rules.
Inappropriate Behavior:
Students that exhibit uncooperative or disruptive behavior will jeopardize future trips, including Frost Valley.
