Effects of The Media

Looking for credible information on the web can be tricky.  Be sure to start your research with the Virtual Reference Collection.  A couple of databases that I found useful for this paper are:

ProQuest
Contains comprehensive index and coverage of 7500+ magazines and major U.S. and international newspapers. Includes selected articles from Newsday, 2003-present day. Translate contents into 18 languages, and find audio and video clips, books, conference papers and proceedings, dissertations and theses, historical newspapers in addition to the magazines and newspapers

Additionally, other databases that are usefull are found under the Pro/Con section in the VRC:

Opposing Viewpoints In Context

ABC-CLIO Issues: Understanding Controversy and Society

SIRS Discoverer

SIRS Knowledge Source

Within these databases you will find; magazine articles, primary sources, web sources (already previewed for quality content), reference resources and images.

All of the databases can be accessed through the VRC
under the subcategory, Pro/Con.
